Contemplating the delights of His rest refreshes my soul ...

-  Run to my Redeemer.

Let His peace RULE in my heart.

Repent and receive His forgiveness.

Respect Him and be ready to respond.

Relish His richness and rely on His resources.

Relax in Him, for He faithfully rescues His own.

E  -  Enjoy Him!

Ease my mind - every need is met.

        Escape into His encouraging embrace.

Endeavor to follow His enduring example.

My everlasting Savior ever intercedes for me.

Earnestly engage His ears in prayer and praise!

S  -  Settle into His schedule.

My soul is secure in Him!

He will stay with me through every storm.

Simplicity - savor the "small" signs of His love.

Smile! Speak of Him and show His sweetness to others!

Surrender my story to my sacrificial Savior, strong and sovereign over all.

T
  -  Trust His timing.

        Tether myself to Truth.

        Tell Him I am thankful.

        Turn my eyes upon Jesus.

Train my mind as I travel through tough times.

Tried and true, He is in ALL things triumphant!

Refuse to Fear

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength."
                                                                                                             Isaiah 26:3-4

"
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." Colossians 3:15

Rest

Rest, the Lord is near,
Refuse to fear,
Enjoy his love.

Trust, His mighty power
Fills every hour
Of all your days.

There is no need
For needless worry.
With such a Savior,
You have no cause to ever

Doubt, His perfect word
Still reassures
In any trial.

Rest the Lord is there,
Lift up your prayer
For He is strong.

Trust, He'll bring release
And perfect peace
Will calm your mind.

There is no need
For needless worry.
With such a Savior,
You have no cause to ever

Doubt, His perfect word
Still reassures
In any trial.

Call Him, if you grow frightened -
Call Him, with loving care.
He'll lift the burden and you'll

Rest, the Lord is near
Refuse to fear
Enjoy His love

Trust His mighty power
Fills every hour
Of all your days.

Flying Cereal Introduction

This morning wasn't my most stellar. I had happily announced "Cereal Day!" thinking it was garbage day (Thursday). After patiently reminding me "it's Wednesday," my family was okay helping themselves, especially since I whipped up strawberry and white chocolate chip pancakes for them yesterday. ;)

As we sat down to pray, I dramatically and quite accidently brought my hand down on my spoon handle (plastic, because all of the other spoons were dirty). The mini catapult went into immediate action - up went the spoon and cereal went flying into the air like confetti. There was a hushed shock around the table. My husband and one son stared nervously, in harmony inching away from me as I giggled, declaring I'd be finding cereal in my hair for a week. (And it wasn't the fancy granola you see above - uh, it was some old pumpkin spice Cheerios mixed with a dash of Raisin Bran. At least it took flight before the milk was poured!)

Not all of my mornings are as comical and crazy, but this one thing I know for sure - my entire life would be a bundle of truly CrAzY of the craziest ... more than it already is, if I didn't have God. He is my Rock! I stand securely in Him!

We live in interesting days, and it's not by mistake.

He chose us
                               to be
                                          here
                                                   NOW
!

"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

Like Esther, I want to walk by faith and do hard things because God is more than able to use me and see me through. It's a privilege to serve God!

The best thing I can do is REST IN HIM. He likes doing the heavy work. He loves it when I adore Him, resting as a child in the arms of her Father, trusting Him completely to take good care of her. Of me. Of you! I feel honored you're here and pray you will be encouraged in the midst of your storm.

Not gonna do it. What? Carefully edit my posts, like a good writer does. Nope, this is casual, real life, cereal-in-my-hair kind of writing. If you come along for the ride, welcome - and I hope you enjoy the trip!

Resting in Him,
Sara
